What keeps the bumper straps from coming loose or falling off the bumper?
The straps should be tightened so that the front shocks are approximately half-loaded while on level ground. The shocks then keep tension on the straps during inclines and declines. The vinyl coated hooks should be secured to the towing vehicle through a hole in the frame or bumper if possible. Conditions may cause the straps to loosen over time due to stretching. We have supplied a high-quality, heavy duty strap but rain soaking or prolonged tension may cause some stretching. We recommend double checking all tie downs before travel and at regular intervals during the trip.
