What is the recommended bumper height for the towing motorcycles?
The Undertaker is designed to accommodate most “normal” bumper heights. If the hitch receiver is too low to the ground, the apparatus may scrape or drag on inclines, steep dips, curbs, etc. If it is too high, the wheel cradle may not reach all the way to the ground for loading in which case you may have to physically lift the front of the bike into the cradle. Also, the higher the front wheel, the more extreme the lean when turning. The cradle can be lowered to lessen the lean without compromising strength or safety as long as it is high enough to be under the bike’s wheel supporting the bike’s weight. In short, if you can tow standard trailers, you can use the Undertaker. |
